The Steve Donoghue

Steve Donoghue was champion jockey from 1914 to1923. Although he rode until 1937 (a year in which he won both The 1000 Guineas and The Oaks) the reign of Gordon Richards ended his chance of any further championships. Amongst his fourteen Classic winners were no fewer than six in The Derby which he won four times in five years.

In order to try and satisfy all budgets this year I have put together this one horse syndicate with Michael Bell as the trainer. Michael has long been one of our principal trainers and was responsible for the Highclere managed and Royal Ascot Racing Club owned Vodafone Derby winner, Motivator. This year he is responsible for our multiple Group winner, Regime, the Royal Ascot Racing Club's Listed winner, Metaphoric and the dual Heritage Handicap winners, Redford and Furnace - a grand total of seven races won and over £250,000 in prize money earnings!
