Through Paul Nicholls, we acquired Pepe Simo in the Spring of 2010 as a really good chasing prospect. Pepe Simo was a very good novice hurdler last season winning three races in addition to his bumper, making a total of four wins from seven starts. He also finished third in a highly competitive Imperial Cup (Listed Handicap Hurdle) at Sandown which was a proper performance as he was taking on seasoned handicappers and giving a stone to the winner, despite only being a novice himself. Paul knows what an extremely tough and sound individual he is and is delighted to retain him as he jumps for fun and, as we all know, Paul is well known for significantly improving horses when they make the progression from hurdling to chasing.
Following his summer break out at grass, Pepe Simo returned to full training at the beginning of August.
