We bought a very attractive and racy looking son of Kheleyf for 45,000 Guineas in order to replace Prisoner (who was sold, unraced, at the Horses in Training Sale last October). Kheleyf was the leading first season sire last year and has already produced Group and Listed winners from limited opportunities in his first crop. This colt is out of the winning Mujadil mare Quantum Lady, who has produced three winners from three runners and Khelefh on Mujadil looks sure to produce a speedy precocious type.

Exchange finished mid division in his race at Yarmouth on 16th August. He was a little free early on but soon settled into a good rhythm sitting in behind the leaders. As the tempo quickened entering the final two furlongs, Exchange looked as though he may be in the shake-up but he still looked green when asked to quicken. On realising he was not going to be in the first four, Liam was not hard on him in the closing stages just riding him out with hands and heels.

Following his Yarmouth run, it was decided to give Exchange a break from training. William believes that he will be than capable of winning races but that he still needs time to develop both physically and mentally. He will be turned out immediately so he can benefit from the last of the summer grass before returning to William’s in the Autumn.
