A really strong looking son of leading sire Oasis Dream, who produced Aqlaam to win the Prix Jacques Le Marois in 2009 and also Midday to win the Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.
Approve ran an excellent race in The Prix Robert Papin (Gr 2) at Maisons-Laffitte on 25th July to finish third only beaten 1½ lengths and a short head by the winner. He looked magnificent beforehand and is taking his races extremely well. In the race itself Approve broke smartly and Richard Hughes was able to tack across to the stands side, travelling well. When asked to quicken he was a shade green and rather lost concentration which ultimately probably cost him the race. He picked up late on and flew home and only lost out to second place by the shortest of short heads.
Approve has come out of the race in good order and William will now look at running him at either the Gimcrack (Gr2) in York on Wednesday 18th August or in the Prix Morny (Gr1) at Deauville on Sunday 22nd August.
