The colt that John Warren was particularly pleased to purchase at last year's Tattersalls sales, this son of Motivator has the scope and pedigree to develop into a Classic contender.

Guards Chapel moved to Luca Cumani in Newmarket in early February and settled in really well. By early Summer, Guards Chapel never looked better and looks an important colt in the making. He has really filled to his frame with perhaps the most noticeable change being to his quarters which are now much stronger than earlier in the Spring. He is finding his work very easy and by early July looked more and more the finished article.

In early August, Guards Chapel worked on the Limekilns upsides two already raced two year olds and, despite being a shade green, he worked very nicely. Luca was delighted with him and felt that hte horse is growing up mentally all the time. By the middle of August, he progressed into faster work and Luca hopes to have him on the racecourse towards the end of month or early September.
