Rose Blossom ran on five occasions as a two year old, winning twice and breaking the track record at Hamilton on her debut. Following her victory at Haydock, she ran down the field in the Lowther Stakes (Gr 2) at York but put up a much improved performance in the Flying Childers Stakes (Gr 2) at Doncaster.
Rose Blossom put in a sensational performance to win the Cuisine de France Summer Stakes (Gr 3) at York on 9th July. She repeated her performance from York last time breaking smartly, taking an early lead and settling into a good rhythm albeit at a very fast pace. With a furlong to go a number of other horses were off the bridle but she was still travelling well before the first challenge came to her. She saw off that challenge before being challenged again inside the final furlong. Rose Blossom had a bit more in hand and in the end won a shade cosily.
