This powerful filly by Danehill Dancer went through big physical changes during the spring of last season and Michael Jarvis quite rightly gave her the time she needed before making a highly impressive winning debut showing a real turn of foot. She suffered a setback prior to the valuable Tattersalls 800 and was put away for the season.
Decorative won in impressive style on her three year old debut at Nottingham on 10th June and looks to be a filly with a very bright future ahead of her. She looked amazing in the paddock beforehand and took all the preliminaries in relaxed fashion. Philip Robinson elected to drop her in behind horses and travelled sweetly and as they came into the straight Philip Robinson allowed the filly to pick up the other horses. At the furlong maker, she joined Bintalwaadi and the two of them pulled well clear of the rest of the field. He then gave Decorative a couple of slaps and she went on to win a shade cosily by 1¾ lengths. All in all, this was a really good performance and I have no doubt that she will be a force to be reckoned with when upped again in grade.
Decorative had been declared to run at Ascot on Friday 23rd July in The Woodcote Stud EBF Valiant Stakes (Listed) but unfortunately had a poor scope on Thursday morning which ruled her out of the race.
