Activate ran three times as a two year old, showing improvement on each occasion and just failing to win on his last start. This neat son of first season sire Motivator looks a real improver in the making and like his sire, should be more effective as he steps up in trip.

Activate put up another solid effort at Kempton on 9th June to finish third and only beaten ½ a length by the second horse, Sierra Alpha. Activate broke well and was always in a handy position just behind the leaders on the rail. As the pace quickened, Hayley Turner asked Activate to go and win his race and he responded well but the eventual winner Arctic Cosmos swept by in impressive style. To the horse’s full credit, he stayed on gamely through the final furlong, making ground all the way to the line.
